textbook: oh look, it’s arwen from lord of the rings! how joyful a morning this is. last night i had a rather involved conversation with a friend about which region of middle earth would have the best fashion week. the choices we came up with were the shire, gondor, mordor, rivendell and edoras. so naturally when i woke up this morning i figured i’d post on arwen. for those who aren’t familiar with the series, arwen is an elven princess. elves are the most beautiful beings in middle earth, appropriately played by liv tyler, cate blanchett and orlando bloom in the peter jackson movies. she plays a big role in the destruction of the ring and salvation of middle earth and all ends well for her when she marries aragorn and becomes queen of gondor. that’s the short version, read the book.1: taking a stroll around rivendell: dress by erdem, shoes by alexander wang2: visiting galadriel in lorien: dress by christopher kane, shoes by donna karan3: w00t! i’m the queen: dress by rodarte, shoes by erdem also, if you feel like spreading some tumblr tuesday cheer…go on and recommend. take care now.

textbook: following suit to the wendy post yesterday, here is peter pan. of course, he’s grown up a bit…even though that’s technically impossible. of course, peter is much more suited to spring 2010 than fall, but what can ya do. not much else to say. 1: hanging around neverland: jacket by burberry prorsum, shirt by band of outsiders, pants by michael bastian, boots by dolce and gabbana2: peter’s shadow: jacket by neil barret, shirt by richard chai, leggings, sandals and kilt by givenchy3: chillin with princess tiger lily: jacket by c.p. company, shirt by dolce and gabbana, jeans by bottega veneta, boots by ferragamo

WHAT WOULD LISBETH SALANDER WEAR?

Happy new year to you guys. Over my long, actually, very long break, I went and saw The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. It was certainly worth my $9.50 and if you’ve seen it you’ll understand what I mean when I say it affected me long after I left the theater. Sheesh. For those unfamiliar, the story is all about a journalist and a hacker/investigator who uncover a grizzly history of serial killings and seek revenge upon a .01 percenter. If you haven’t seen it, I recommend it and if you haven’t read it you probably should. While watching it, I thought Lisbeth would make a great character post and many people have requested her, so here you go. Of course, in reality (fiction reality?) Lisbeth probably wouldn’t care.
